As My World Turns

This map is somewhat different than the state map – it is by counties and also shades for percent for parties!  You can clearly see where and why President Obama won.   What I find interesting is that in Texas where Hispanics are quickly becoming the majority – could actually become a swing state within a decade!  Note the many shades of blue around the southern border as well as major cities.  One can also see that  most of the southern states could also become swing states as well.

Very interesting!

It is interesting. It’s always good to see data presented in more depth.

Gee, I wonder why? Why don’t you put up a map that shows where a majority of Federal money goes. I’ll bet its pretty close to the same. Jefferson warned about the death of the Republic once the electorate figures out how to vote funds from the public treasury. I learned a hard lesson last week, the country that I loved and grew up in no longer exists. Long live the People’s Republic of North America, long live the King! America is dead!

I hate to burst your bubble man but the largest users of federal assistance and funding are Republican States:

      *

States receiving the most federal funding per tax dollar paid:

      1. New Mexico: $2.63 2. West Virginia: $2.57 3. Mississippi: $2.47 4. District of Colombia: $2.41 5. Hawaii: $2.38 6. Alabama: $2.03 7. Alaska: $1.93 8. Montana: $1.92 9. South Carolina: $1.92 10. Maine: $1.78

Contrary to popular belief, those who make the most noise noise complaining about Federal spending and the programs said spending support, are in fact the same people who collect those Federal dollars and who coincidentally dont want to give up the programs. Their states; the RED ones receive more per dollar, than they give,as a recent New York Times articledocumentseven as fiscally conservative lawmakers complain about deficit spendingtheir constituents dont want to give up the Social Security checks, Medicare benefits, and earned income tax credits that provide a safety net for the struggling middle class.

The secret is not so secret after all, many Red states are really parasites and gold-diggers when it comes to collecting Federal dollars even though they are the most vociferous about government spending.MotherJones.composts some wonderful maps that highlight these bloodsucking states who want you to believe that they are really against expanding the government spending that they crow about. Empty vessels really do make the most noise.

MotherJones addsOf the 22 states that went to McCain in 2008, 86 percent received more federal spending than they paid in taxes in 2010. In contrast, 55 percent of the states that went to Obama received more federal spending than they paid in taxes. Republican states, on average, received $1.46 in federal spending for every tax dollar paid; Democratic states, on average, received $1.16. *

How pray tell do you consider those states Republican states? My point wasn’t by state it was by area according to your map. Basically urban areas are blue which is where santa Claus visits on a regular basis. All you have to do to see where your “equality” is going to take us is look at all the places where your guys have been in control forever. Places like Washington DC, Detroit, Chicago, Philadelphia, Baltimore, New York, California, New Jersey. The problem won’t be solved by raising peoples taxes, anybodies, the problem is the government spends too damn much. But that won’t stop you guys from trying, right comrade? From each according to their ability, to each according to their need. I personally prefer freedom not tyranny!
