Here is the truth about the parties and their jobs record. Great information. well worth the read. Thanks to Mr. John Hively for taking the time to detail this for us.

John Hively's Blog: News and Analysis of the War Against the Middle Class

The Bush tax cuts helped to wipe out the economy. The same is true of the Reagan tax cuts. There’s not a kernel of evidence anywhere that those tax reductions for the rich created a single net job. But there is growing evidence that they destroyed jobs, or at the least, weakened job growth. That’s because most of the investments of the rich from those cuts were used to purchase paper assets in the growing derivatives markets (which is about $500 trillion big), on buying politicians like Wall Street Senator Ron Wyden, and on destroying democracy for the 99 percent.

Wyden is a case in point. He never met an legislative income transfer scam from the 99 to the 1 percent go without his “yes” vote. He voted for Nafta, the South Korea free trade treaty and others. Those are income redistribution treaties. He knows this. Those treaties pave the…

You must be right. Over taxing the ones that invest and produce while rewarding the lazy and incompetent is a GREAT strategy for growth. What a concept! Let me get this straight…four years after Bush 2, things suck but its still Bushes fault but four years after the Republicans in its to Clintons credit. It has nothing to do with a conservative Congress (that IS actually responsible for spending, not the President) Sounds like you have it all figured out. We should just elect His Majesty Dictator for life and all you blind party apologists can fire up the ovens and get rid of all us dissenters in one fell swoop. Progressives good…Conservatives bad. Got it!

Well let us take your comments and expand them Steve, creating some logic. Clinton, working with Congress put in place his ideas. He had a Congress though oppositional did not simply filibuster every single last policy refusing to pass anything. His policies were passed and he was able to move the nation forward, his policies were enacted with negotiated conclusions.

Bush took this and undid it. The economy faltered then it failed. It failed because after 40 years of trickle down economic policies, of which Clinton also had a hand in this nation finally proved the theory was wrong. There are a great number of reasons for this. The most important reason for this? Simple, money drives the economy. The wealthy do not create jobs simply because they have more wealth. Corporations do not create more jobs because they have more profit. Both of these are lies. What creates jobs?

Money in the economy, the ability to purchase product. If there is no income there is no ability to purchase. The wealthy do not fuel the economy. The middle class fuel the economy. The larger the middle class is the better the economy does. The easier it is to enter the middle class, grow the middle class is the better the economy does. The more disposable income within the middle class there is the more jobs are created in ever sector of the economy as more demand is created for goods and services.

The assumption those that are unemployed for lack of desire to work is a bad assumption. Most are unemployed for lack of opportunity. The wealthy do not create jobs through their investment. Money does not create jobs simply by creating more money. Profit does not create jobs simply by creating profit.

    Simple Arithmetic.
