Not entirely true. Most oil companies do sell their product to the highest bidder domestic or International as they certainly have the right to do but they’re are also companies that only produce and sell American oil here such as Amerada Hess and Sun Oil that I can think of off the top of my head. I for one always try to patronize those companies. What a marketing ploy that would be for a company to do. I’d buy stock in that company as would many other Americans I would guess. How about we give it a try and tell all those Arab oil producers to kiss our ass!!

Well gee; I didn’t know that but I suspect that their entire production is far exceeded by the Americansoil usage.

Hey; heres an idea. Why don’t we reduce our dependance on oil entirely; placing the oil companies in a position of weakness rather than strength. then we could negotiate reasonable prices for the oil we do still need. If we force the sale at alow enough price; the stockholders of the oil companies will have to get used to a smaller dividend and value for their stock and just might decide to invest their money in Solar or Wind thereby boosting those industies ability to produce power with out oil. Gee Steve; isn’t that what you guys call allowing the market to regulate itself? Clearing away the deadwood to make mway for the new growth industries? And hold on just a minute. We might even keep from poluting our world into an industrial wasteland or a overheated graveyard for Capitalists and the rest of us as well.

First off present day wind and solar won’t come anywhere remotely close to providing enough energy to meet our needs. It would be nice if it did, but it doesn’t. We wouldn’t have what we have now if the government didn’t subsidize it.. The open free market does a way better job of regulating the economy than the government does. As soon as someone comes up with a profitable way to replace oil, coal and natural gas we’ll have it. By producing the energy we currrently have will produce millions of free market jobs instead of more government regulation. We already have the technology to produce clean fuel, why we continue to buy it from those that use our dollars to spend to anhilate us is beyond comprehension to me. I have no doubt that one day we will have another energy source such as Hydrogen or whatever, just not yet. It doesn’t exist yet and I really like to drive my truck instead of a horse or take the bus. Indoor plumbing, heat and electricity is mighty nice. Some sacrifices have to be made don’t they? What would you like to give up?

There you go …FORCE< FORCE< FORCE! One post you talk about freedom and the next post you talk about force. Well? Which one is it you want? Force? or freedom? You need to choose one or the other. All you guys do is talk out of both sides of your mouth and criticize those of us who choose freedom over tyranny. Truth be told you want to enslave all of us who don't agree with you huh?

I have an idea. Why don't you and a bunch of your buddies plop down a bunch of your own money and invest in a business that I don't like and I will decide how much dividend and profit you should be allowed to make. Sound good? You sound really stupid and I think you're a bit smarter than that.
