Ron Paul Says Sodomy Laws Ridiculous! Angryman Says “Bullshit!”

Un-Named Republican Hopeful off to the Southern races

Ah Yes! the Big Race is on. South Carolina Republican Primary.

Did you know that even though South Carolina has only about 4% of the population of the country; so many are Republicans; that they have become in the minds of many; a reliable predictor of the Republican Nominee.

Actually; a pretty good one as the winner of the South Carolina Primary since 1980 has been the Republican Nominee.

One of the reasons for this is a curious statistic. Whereas in most of the Slave States only about 10% of the people were actually slave owners; in the Great State of South Carolina the percentage was right around…………50%.

Sooooo; 50% of South Carolinians had enough money to own slaves…………..

Sooooo; South Carolina must be a pretty wealthy state. Old money; South of Broad and all that Antebellam Tradition of Human Bondage; Torture; and Murder (for God’s sake; don’t forget the murder). Hanging; beating; whipping; shooting; maiming; branding; starving; drowning; burning; etc.; etc.; etc.

Sooooo; Lots of wealthy republicans……and they always pick the winner.

Sooooo; it would follow that the winner is picked by the votes of…wealthy republicans.

Sooooo; all you Poor Republicans; you may as well stay home. they don’t care what you think. Heh; heh; heh.

But back to South Carolina; all the Republican hopefuls are off to South Carolina to beat each other and lie about each other and probably sell their own mothers if that’s what it takes to win South Carolina

And when South Carolina has been decided; they will all rush off to Florida because it is even more important than South Carolina……….so they’ll sell their teenage grandchild into postitution and crack addiction to win here.

Well the one thing I am sure of is; that for a Republican to win anything; somebody’s got to become a whore. Besides the Candidate I mean. That’s a given.

I’ve been listening to the insults being hurled back and forth between the Candidates and if you listen to all of it; there isn’t a Republican candidate who can tie his own shoes; much less succeed as President.

Mitt Romney is such a clown. He just can’t stop himself from pointing out to everyone he meets; that he is a VERY wealthy man. And even when he tries to pretend he’s just the average American; he falls on his ass.

Like when he said he was only paid “three-hundred thousand dollars” for a speaking engagement as though as though he expected us all to understand how under-appreciated he felt.

Or right now; he is afraid to show us his tax returns; and he admits it’s because he makes so much money ; it might make him look bad.  Of course refusing to provide his tax returns like the rest of his playmates are doing doesn’t look bad. Noooooo.

Then there’s that nasty issue that keeps coming back on him; then it doesn’t; then it does; then it doesn’t.

“The only difference between Mitt Romney and a statue of Mitt Romney is that a statue never changes its position,” according to Stephen Colbert.

Rambling? Probably.

Got more?  Oh Yeah I got more.

Can we see? Ab-so-fuckin-lutly. You know I love it when you guys hit that “more” button.

Ok; now that we’re all calm again I’ll continue my previous discussion:

Of course once they have decide who the Nominee will be; they’ll all huddle around him and proclaim what a swell guy he is. “Not the liar and thief and mentally challenged boob I said he was back in South Carolina.”

Now I’ve talked about candidates before and I have expressed my disdain for anyone the Republicans have fielded.
But I would like to take a few minutes to talk about the man I consider the most dangerous in the game.

Now:

Selected notes and observasions concerning the “Godfather of the Tea Party Movement”;

The quiet old wiseman and Doctor from the State many call the Underbelly of America.

The State where the word “Left” means “Right but lean a smidge towards the left side of the road headin’ off yonder to the right.”

The State where Immigrants are Ok as long as they agree to starve quietly……………………………………without health care for their expectant mothers……………………………………working for wages that keep them stuck; stuck; stuck; stuck; in the same low paying slavery they arrived in.

Ron Paul; such a soft friendly sort of name.

Just the sort of name and just the sort of public image that makes you want to sit at his feet and bask in his glorious wisdom and kindness.

But is that the real Ron Paul. Is that the Ron Paul you would see if he were elected president?

I think not.

“Ridiculous as sodomy laws may be, there clearly is no right to privacy nor sodomy found anywhere in the Constitution.” He went on to say that “There are, however, states’ rights — rights plainly affirmed in the Ninth and Tenth amendments. Under those amendments, the State of Texas has the right to decide for itself how to regulate social matters like sex, using its own local standards”

I would point out to Ron Paul that the right to have sexual relations at all is not in the Constitution. And yet it is.

Amendment IX
The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be
construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

Therefore; as the Constitution does not forbid Sodomy; and it is not specifically mentioned as a right; It falls under the purvue of this amendment

Ron Paul shuffles the issue off onto the States by invoking the 10th amendment:

Amendment X
“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor
prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to
the people.”

Here is the quote:

“In a newsletter, Ron Paul back in August 2003 stated “Ridiculous as sodomy laws may be, there clearly is no right to privacy nor sodomy found anywhere in the Constitution.” He went on to say that “There are, however, states’ rights — rights plainly affirmed in the Ninth and Tenth amendments. Under those amendments, the State of Texas has the right to decide for itself how to regulate social matters like sex, using its own local standards”

Mr. Paul would like us to believe that any right not mentioned in the Constitution reverts to the States for a decision as to it’s validity. This is Horse manure.

First; the 9th amendment says nothing; zero, about States Rights.

Second; As you can read; the 10th amendment gives powers to the States or the people respectively. This would indicate that powers that are relavent to the running of a State would revert to their judgement but that the rights of the people (outside of that purpose) would revert to the people to judge for themselves; not that the States would make any judgements they chose and leave a few for the people.

This is the meaning that I percieve in these two Amendments when read together.

As an example: The Federal Government decides that it will no longer decide whether the people have a right to have sex.

Now each of the Fifty States is supposed to decide what’s right for that State.

Only if the State chooses not to make a choice; is the decision left up to the individual citizen as to whether he/she should have sex or not.

Does this sound right to you?

What about this one: let’s say that a wind of reason blows through DC and the Federal Government decriminalizes Marijuana. It would then fall into the same catagory as Sodomy.

Not disallowed or specifically reserved; the right to posess Marijuana would now fall to each State to decide for itself.

So now the State gets to decide whether or not they will recognize the Constitutional right to possess Marijuana?

This seems wrong- and decidedly Un-constitutional.

The people; whose right and duty it is by nature to take unto themselves all rights not specifically mentioned and acknowledged by the Constitution;

AND;

The Federal Government having decided it is not a crime;

Therefore causes the possession of Marijuana to revert to an un-named or un-specified right of the people.

How is it that such a question should ever fall into the jurisdiction of the individual states?

Whether a man choses to smoke marijuana or not has no bearing on how a state is organized for the benefit of the people.

And make no error here. That is the reason for State Government. The benefit of the people. That is the reason for all government.

When a Government stops benefiting the people; it is the duty of those people to set up one that will.

It seems to me that the Federal Government;

Being the original author of the Constitution;

And the President and other Federal officials having sworn to Protect, Uphold, and Defend the Constituion;

The States would be acting in opposition to the word and intent of that document by initiating or failing to remove all Prohibitionary Marijuana Laws from their books.

Why is this wrong?

The idea that;

Because our nation is composed of fifty seperate and culturally distinct states;

The level of Freedom in any state should be different than in any other is ludicrous.

A State may have different traffic rules; it may have different procedures for obtaining any number of services; it may be as individual as it wishes.

BUT!

The one thing a State must never do is pass any law that restricts or denys any right to any person.
It is wrong; Morally; Intellectually; and Constitutionally; for any State to make illegal;

That which the Federal Government does not consider illegal.

    Good Article.. more informative….
    Mitt Romney is basically very wealthy person and have some good vision. But Obama is doing good for America. You can expect fruits of the trees which was planted by Obama in the future. But as every one know no one can do 100% so lets hope for better.
